Tips and tools: Set Specific Objectives and Constraints

Did you know that BEST allows to insert highly customized objectives and constraints?

Some goals may not be easy or efficient to define using the time grid. For that reason, you will find in the application a list of objectives and constraint that allow to account for very specific goals.

For example, you use “Consecutive Events” to state that the classes of two modules will always occur one after the other, wherever they are allocated in the week. “Overlapped events” allows you to choose classes that must occur at the same time, whereas “Separated events” will prohibit certain classes from occurring at the same time.

These are just some examples of highly customizable preferences and rules the application can account for.
