The construction of class schedules is an absolutely essential process in schools like FEUP.
In the early stages, this scheduling was done entirely manually, which led to significant time waste and high costs. Sometimes, rooms were double-booked, and a process manager had to resolve these conflicts.
With the implementation of Bullet Education Scheduling and Timetabling, FEUP achieved greater optimization of the entire scheduling process. What used to take over five months now takes less than a month, with final adjustments made in under a week.
Another added value of the whole process is the full integration between Bullet and FEUP’s information system. All data is automatically exported to Bullet, and at the end of the scheduling process, the final solution is exported from Bullet and automatically imported into our information system.

Our center has participated in the pilot experience of the University of Cordoba to generate schedules with Bullet Solutions software. Using Bullet software significantly speeds up and streamlines the process of creating the semester schedule. It is more efficient because, once all the necessary data is correctly entered, the system can generate a draft schedule with a single click. Making subsequent adjustments is also much easier, as the software provides clear visibility of the availability of student groups, professors, and classrooms.
Although it does require an initial investment of time to input and carefully verify all data, once that step is completed, the rest of the process runs much more smoothly. Additionally, I have noticed that professors now request fewer adjustments than they did in the past, likely because they have greater confidence in the accuracy and reliability of the software.
